Transport
Moving food from farms & markets to pantries
Picking up produce from local farms, delivery to Franklin Farm Hub, and distribution to various local food banks, community kitchens and food pantries.
Requires use of a personal vehicle, with room for crates of produce. There will be assistance with loading and unloading.
We are currently recruiting volunteer drivers!
Food Sorting & Packing
Organizing orders & packaging produce
Re-packing wholesale produce orders for distribution to local pantries. Arranging food boxes, grading fruit and vegetables, washing and sorting leafy greens and more!
Food safety training and any necessary PPE will be provided.

Trail Clearing & Invasive Removal
Making paths, clearing land, reclaiming fields
We have big plans for hiking trails, forest gardens and more on our 94-acre Farm Hub property. Lend a hand on our weekly land-days.
Uneven terrain & physical outdoor labor. We provide basic tools, but if you’ve got a favorite, bring it along!

Field days!
Our fields are starting to grow. We appreciate help with weeding, transplanting, gleaning, harvesting, and more.
Outdoor work on some steep terrain. All tools and training provided. Farming experience welcome but not at all required.

Food Hub Cleaning & Organizing
Work-days in the wash & pack
We are always grateful for assistance in keeping our food sorting spaces clean and tidy. From washing crates, to prepping packaging, there’s a varied line-up of tasks for volunteers in the FFH HQ.

Greeting and meeting
Assisting and representing FFH at events, workshops, and classes. May include set-up prior to events, aiding in farmers’ market setup, assisting guests at tabled events, and more.
